Battling lupus, the same disease that took the life of her son, James “J. Dilla” Yancey, Parra and J. Dilla’s former record label have put together a fund-raising t-shirt for J. Dilla’s mother, Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey. The t-shirt is done in trademark Parra styles and presents itself as a great cause for a disease which has had such a great effect on numerous families worldwide. CASSETTE The Madvillainy Demo Tape. 12 tracks, 36 minutes. This is the first and only official release of the infamous Madvillain demo that “leaked into cyberspace,” while the album was still in progress, as DOOM alludes to in the lyrics of “Rhinestone Cowboy.”
